Many of you know me as Dr Dean Kent. I am a trained, licensed and practicing dentist in Virginia Beach. I do practice Holistic Dentistry which is a reformed aspect of dentistry. I have a lot of education, mostly being in the sciences for my training.  I have had been asked by many people “why are you teaching psychic development, that is not your field of training?” What most people don’t know about me is that I have been a seeker all of my life. Since I was little, I was taught about metaphysics by my parents. I experienced many psychic readings and psychic seances. I read my first Edger Cayce book “There is a River” by Thomas Sugrue when I was twelve. By the time I was sixteen I had read many other books concerning the American Prophet. At that same age, I took a trip with my parents to the A.R.E. (Association of Research and Enlightenment an Edgar Cayce foundation) at Virginia Beach, Virginia. For a week I experienced many classes there and had a conversation with Edgar Cayce’s son, Hugh Lynn Cayce. I knew at that point I would be a seeker the rest of my life.

After 4 years of college, I entered dental school. I joined an A.R.E. study group in the Chicago area that met once a week. After graduating from dental school, I moved to the Virginia Beach area to be closer to the ARE. I joined a study group there that met at the home of Charles Thomas and Leslie Cayce. I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Gladys Davis who was Edgar Cayce’s secretary. I made many ARE friends including Robert Smith, Dr Eric Mein, Kathy Mein, and Mark and Mary Thurston and John and Elizabeth Waitkus. Not only were they my friends, but they were also my teachers, helping to further my understanding of who I am. Another one of my teachers was August Armstrong. She was a psychic medium that taught psychic development. I took her class and continued taking classes with her to the point where I helped her teach them for 20 years. Much of the material from this class comes from her teachings.

From all the years of my learning and all the teachers that I have had experiences from, I have come up with a process that I feel is very important to everyone’s spiritual journey. I use techniques that you will learn from this course, in my everyday life. It has given me guidance and has helped me keep close to the divine part of myself. Being left brained most of my life has made it difficult for me to learn and use right brained concepts. I know that since I was very left brained and still able to learn and use it, anyone else should be able to do so also.
